Welcome to Student Life at Wingate University

As the Dean of Students, I am constantly reminded of the phenomenal students that are enrolled here at Wingate. More so, I am reminded of the amazing staff that support, challenge and encourage our students daily. The staff works diligently to connect students to campus involvement and resources so each one of our students can truly Major in a Great Life.

Student Life is composed of five main areas:
Residential Services - consisting of Residence Life and Housing, Community Standards, Conferencing and Facilities, and the Health Center. Student Ministries - offers weekly Chapel services, faith based student organizations and the Center for Vocational Ministry. Campus Recreation - housing our robust intramural sports program, along with wellness initiatives and fitness programs, including the fitness center. Student Success - supporting students in a wide variety of ways including Success Coaching, Counseling Services, and academic and financial counseling. Student Involvement - connects students to our campus community through opportunities of service, special interest, and leadership. The Associate Dean of Students is Patrick Biggerstaff who oversees our residential services area and serves as our Title IX and Assessment Coordinator. He also provides direction and leadership to Student Life.

As you are able, take a few moments to get to know our staff and their diverse backgrounds by reviewing the staff biographies. We have an impressive group of individuals dedicated to helping students achieve their true potential and Major In A Great Life!
