In case of illness or injury, students should contact The Health Center at extension 8102.
The Health Center is open from 8 a.m to 4 p.m Monday through Friday. Students are seen by appointment between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Walk-ins will be seen as time permits. We have a full time nurse practitioner, part-time physician, registered nurse, and certified nursing assistant on staff.
All students taking 12 or more hours are automatically assessed “general fees” each semester. The Health Center fees are included in these “general fees” and allows for unlimited routine visits with a medical provider or nurse. Services such as lab, pharmacy, over the counter medications, medical supplies, and immunizations are available for a fee.
Prices are subject to change without notice based on market prices.
If necessary, prescribed medications can be obtained in The Health Center. Medical and prescription insurance are not accepted at The Health Center. If a student has prescription insurance and wishes to use it, he/she will need to get a prescription from the provider to be filled at the pharmacy of their choice.
Emergencies are handled through the emergency department at CMC-Union in Monroe. Emergency physicians are available 24 hours per day. Students are responsible for payment when they are referred off campus for treatment or follow-up care.
Allergy injections can be given in The Health Center. The student must be on his/her maintenance dose and supply his/her own allergy serum. A statement from the allergist giving approval for the student to receive the allergy therapy at The Health Center must be received before therapy begins. There will be an administration fee of $5 per allergy injection up to a maximum cost of $20 per month.
